Am I Really That Boring?

Clearly Kate at the Last Amazon thinks so.  Having been tagged in one of those viral things that's currently circulating the blogsphere, no I don't mean you know who's latest lawsuit.  Kate at SDA tagged Kate at Last Amazon asking her to "share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself."  The latter Kate then tagged me and five other victims including this remark next to my name: "because I cannot imagine him having six quirky habits."  Maybe it's this blog's sensible brown colour, or maybe it's the $13.00 haircut, or maybe writing three thousands word essays on the British Constitution, somehow I exude unquirkiness.  Hopefully I live up to expectations.

1 - I have seen Lawrence of Arabia more than twenty-five times.

2 - I have only owned one pair of jeans in my entire life, these were purchased for me by my mother at the age of sixteen in a well intentioned attempt to help me be cool.  I wore them once, felt like an idiot and they vanished into the closet.  More Leslie Howard than James Dean.

3 - I paid my way through a private High School and the University of Toronto cleaning offices and factories.  Oddly, I have an aversion to grease.

4 - About 30% of the music I own is by two artists: George Frideric Handel and Miles Davis.

5 - The last time I considered voting Liberal was at the age of nine (no, I'm not joking or exaggerating).

6 - When I was twelve I actually had friends of mine try to persuade me to play in a steel drum band.  I suspected a prank and declined.  I won't bother going into my revenge strategy.

In the national interest I will refrain from tagging anyone else.

Now, now, I did not say you were boring - just that I could not imagine you having any quirky or weird habits...though obviously I have to rethink that in light of the revelation concerning Lawrence of Arabia. Otherwise, your the picture of civility, and quite frankly, the world could do with a lot more Publius and a little less weird.
