The Dalt has given you enough ammunition to run a half dozen campaigns with.
Quit looking for a magic bullet and get to work on what you have.

I'm afraid this man is going to hand the government back to the Liberals or give it to the NDP.
It seems this Ontario PC party is about as politically astute as the Romney Republicans.
Cytotoxic commented on 'Timmy the Bartender 'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83452553069e2017ee62f0399970d2012-12-12T17:07:50Z2012-12-12T17:07:50ZCytotoxic"he’s de facto launched himself into union busting so he might as well follow through because government union boots are...
"he’s de facto launched himself into union busting so he might as well follow through because government union boots are getting ready to march."

It would make sense, which is all the more reason to suspect Ken Doll won't do it. It is not unfair to think this is about attention and some platform paper does nothing to dispel that contention.

"Is that unforgivable to the point we should keep voting for the Freedom Party until we find our Messiah to lead the PCs ?"

Yes. There is literally nothing to be gained in supporting the PCs. It goes uch deeper than Hudak. The PC party is like the Toronto Maple Leafs: hopeless. Even when they win, they lose.
nomdeblog commented on 'Timmy the Bartender 'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83452553069e2017ee62d659d970d2012-12-12T13:37:19Z2012-12-12T13:37:19Znomdeblog“The lines are too carefully memorized.
It should be about union busting. Which is what busted Harris in the end. Government unions are the curse of Western democracies. But Michigan and Wisconsin, seemingly impossibly buried in unions, have managed to turn it around.

“So everyone's a loser here, except whoever buys the LCBO.”

That depends on the price the buyer(s) has to pay to get a franchise.
Plus don’t forget the by-product benefit of shrinking government unionized employees.

Whether you believe Hudak will follow through or not doesn’t matter now, he’s de facto launched himself into union busting so he might as well follow through because government union boots are getting ready to march. Since the teachers are mad at the Liberals therefore the unions will probably back Horwath.

It’s a bit unfair to think Hudak is simply launching into the LCBO privatization to get attention. A lot of work has gone into the integrated plan of Paths to Prosperity and this LCBO wedge falls under 2 of the items: Flexible Labour Markets and A New Deal with the Public Sector. There are 6 items in total starting with the launch of Affordable Energy last spring. The other 3 are: Growth, Retirement Security and Patient Centered Health Care.

Do we think the PCs have the backbone to follow through on all this? The fact that they didn’t test this in the last election was huge strategic failure. Is that unforgivable to the point we should keep voting for the Freedom Party until we find our Messiah to lead the PCs ?
John Chittick commented on 'Timmy the Bartender 'tag:typepad.com,2003:6a00d83452553069e2017ee62ac4a4970d2012-12-12T06:17:19Z2012-12-12T06:17:19ZJohn Chittick"He would instead call for an end to the LCBO monopoly for the only reason that truly matters: Its existence...
"He would instead call for an end to the LCBO monopoly for the only reason that truly matters: Its existence is morally offensive in a free nation."

It's one thing to expect the lad to be conservative, but now you expect him go all out and sound like a libertarian?

I live in a Left Coast Blue State but thanks to Initiatives, we now have private liquor sales in food stores along with beer and wine. We also now have legalized Silly-Smoke but the Feds will keep the Lid on that.
