Following the requests of many readers, and after many hours of ceaseless toil, we are proud to announce the launch of the first GCH book: The Dominion of Snark: The Very Best of the Gods of the Copybook Headings.
Drawing upon the over 5000 posts that have been published at GCH over the last eight years, The Dominion of Snark stretches out over nearly 200,000 words and about 500 pages, depending on font and format. Organized by topical section - "Stephen Harper" or "Liberal Party - this book provides a ready reference to the GCH world view.
The Dominion of Snark is currently available through Amazon.com here as an eBook. While optimized for the Kindle eReader format the eBook is easily readable on other tablet platforms including the iPad. You'll probably need to download a free Kindle app before purchasing the eBook. For those of you who prefer to read using an old fashioned laptop or desktop, I have spoken to "test" readers who were able to successfully download the book from Amazon without the benefit of newfangled tablets.
The downloading process is quick and easy. The good people at Amazon.com should be able to sort through any technical issues that might arise. A quick note to the book's readers on Kindles and the Kindle App: The Table of Contents feature isn't always picked up by the eReader device. The "beginning" option will take you to the table of contents regardless.
The book is also available in print format here.
Tell me what you think of the book on the Amazon page, in the comments or via e-mail (link on the sidebar).
Amazon also makes gifting the book easy. Refer to the book's page for details.
This is to be the first in a series of books projected over the next few years. Having exchanged e-mails with several of my long-term readers the idea of a book as a "best of collection" was a recurring theme. A single ready reference that could be browsed and searched through at leisure.
Given the sheer volume of writing posted at this blog over the years the hardest part has been editing the content into a book format. The vast majority of blogs are short-lived and provide little original content. Neither description characterizes GCH. The book seeks to capture both the breadth of the blog's coverage but also it's changing style and focus. There's even a few laudatory posts about Stephen Harper. I'll let you guess the year they were published.
Without further ado: The Dominion of Snark
